Fridge Tetris

Fridge Tetris
On the left shio koji for curing and kimchi, in the middle some limes, charcuterie, and prepared food (polenta with roasted carrots and feta), then some fermented asparagus and on the right feta, eggs, asparagus soup and some prepared asparagus. Behind and in the bottom left are most of the condiments, sauces, etc. Vegetables are on the right.

Sunday is usually the day I prepare at least 2-3 meals for the week, or at least parts of it. This means that there is going to be a collection of new containers entering my fridge. The problem? My fridge is quite small and already holds a decent amount of sauces, condiments and other ingredients, so this means playing Tetris in the fridge. My fridge originally had an extra shelf, but I removed it and now have most things in stackable containers, which gives a bit more space. However, this is a trade-off, because if the containers aren't full to the brim, they're wasting space. For the most part, I use the ones from IKEA for three reasons: they are relatively cheap, they are easy to clean by hand (glass makes this so much easier with certain types of food) and their lids are pretty water tight. Sometimes I wish they came in more sizes, while still trying to keep the same lids. For smaller things, I use the same container system that I use for my spices. Having mostly towers of containers works pretty well. Everything else is somehow arranged around these. How does your fridge look like?
